Anonymous asked: Question about RHATO #20. Is S'aru BSing about the memories all being connected to work in his ploy for Ducra? It seems like he's saying he can't remove one because they're all tied together. But didn't he already do that when he took their most cherished memories?

Uuuuh, good question! I honestly don’t know the answer. Probably? If he is BS’ing, then he’s pretty damn good at it because his argument sounds convincing. (Unless you’re Roy Harper, in which case no, nuh-uh, never ever).

I almost want to say that S’aru taking only a single memory the first time around isn’t quite the same because that’s a single memory as opposed to being told (or claiming to have been told) to remove everything attached to what’s essentially a concept, but memories are a funny thing, so I have no clue. It’s eyebrow raising, either way.
